Humayun (2nd reign AH 962-963 /1555-1556 AD), Hadrat Dehli Mint, Silver Shahrukhi, AH 9(6)3, "Badshah Ghazi" type, Obv:&nbsp;Arabic legend The Kalima Shahada within a circular linear border &amp; the four Caliphs' names with their titles in the margin, Rev: Arabic legend "Muhammad Humayun Badshah Ghazi" in&nbsp;square frame cartouche, &amp; “Sultan-ul-azam Khaqan-al-Mukarram,&nbsp;khuld Allahu ta'ala mulkahu wa sultanahu” &amp; "zarb Hadrat Dehli" partly visible in the outer bottom margin, 4.77g, 21.94mm&nbsp;(Ref. ONS # 167), no test mark,&nbsp;some usual areas of flatness,&nbsp;about extremely fine, Extremely Rare.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;

Note: Emperor Humayun's second reign was short-lived and very few coins are known to exist from that period. This specimen, dated 963 AH was minted in Delhi, is a rare example. Humayun's authority during this period was primarily limited to Delhi, Agra, and parts of Punjab, with Mughal control remaining tenuous until Akbar and his army consolidated power in subsequent years. Humayun tragically fell to his death on January 27, 1556, while descending the stairs of his library with a stack of books, responding to the call to prayer. His passing occurred just three days later, indicating that this coin was likely minted during the final 75 days of his life.
