	Wazir Imad-ul-Mulk enthroned in the fort, Muhi-ul-miyat under the title of Shah Jahan III. Immediately after the murder of Alamgir II by Ghazi-Ud-Din the Wazir&rsquo;s agent in this atrocious deed, Mahdi Quli Khan, silently enthroned in the fort Muhi-ul-miyat (the grandson of Aurangzeb&rsquo;s youngest child Kam Bakhsh) under the name Shah Jahan III(to which we know, in our numismatic list as Shah Jahan III). The administration was carried on for a few months in his name. The rightful heir, Ali Gauhar (Shah Alam II), was soon placed on the throne.
