Parenda which was located in the Deccan region of India first came in the Mughal Empire during the reign of Aurangzeb as the coins from this mint are reported. The exact location of Parenda town is uncertain. It could possibly be the Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. Historical records indicate that the fort of Parenda was under the Nizam Shahis of Ahmednagar and this mint town would have remained in the Mughal Empire from Aurangzeb&rsquo;s time.
