Note: This unrecorded silver Nisar 1/8 Rupee (2 Annas) of Aurangzeb Alamgir (1658–1707 AD), without the word “Nisar”, is attributed by style to the Ahmadnagar Mint. It represents a previously unpublished “Badshah Ghazi” type, with this mint attribution unlisted in the KM catalog. It is possible the first published example of this extremely rare type, adding an important reference to the fractional silver coinage of Aurangzeb’s early reign.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>
